Connectedness

The highlighted part of my reading today from the book "Delivering Happiness"

"I made a note to myself to make sure I never lost sight of the value of a tribe where people truly felt connected and cared about the well-being of one another. To me, connectedness - the number and depth of my relationships- was an important element of my happiness, and I was grateful for our tribe. The purpose of my big birthday party coming up wasn't actually meant to focus on me. My birthday was just the excuse. The party I had been planning for months was going to be my gift to the tribe"

This idea is so true! Have you ever walked into a gathering or a meeting? And then you feel something is missing, but you cannot tell. The connectedness is intangible. We only can feel it. It cannot be seen or said. We are living in the society with much confusion and distraction and sometimes we don't know your friends or your beloved ones about what they are struggling, whether they are happy or not?

I want to end this writing by sharing with you another part of my reading:

"Ever since selling LinkExchange, I'd committed to living by the philosophy that experiences were much more important to me than material things. Most people assumed that I would have gone out and bought a fancy and expensive car, but I was content with my Acura Integra."

Be connected! Get more EXPERIENCES, not TOYS :D

Good night my friends
