Why are we not changed?
Change? People want it so badly, but why are we still here!? Nothing is moved. Here is why?
Doubts?
- We don't clear doubt, disbelief in ourselves. We had too many bad experiences and we failed many times or maybe we grew up in the world of negative. There are somewhere and sometimes in your mind that you question yourself: Why do we have to change? Everything is fine now? Why change? The first person that you need the conviction of your change is your weak doubtful self in you.
Solutions:
- First, we have the awareness to realize those doubts. The good method is realizing those intangible doubts by writing it down on the paper. Assess those doubts and fight back those doubts by writing down the reason why you think you believe in your dreams, visions, or whatever maybe.
Lack of Reasons
- Why do you want to change? If you see your reasons powerful and inspiring, you can change? Be honest to yourself why do you want to change? Is it happy that you can do that?
Reasons...Reasons...Reason...You don't have it, you can't change. I have an experience that I want to study Japanese well, but my reason is only having fun while I am learning a new language. My reason is weak, so I am coming to class only to listen and get to know Japanese. I don't put hours and hard word to study. Now, my Japanese is only improved ... choto ...
Solutions:
- Write it out. Put reasons next to your goals and you see how badly you want it. If you want it badly enough, you can find the way to bring it out of the paper to real life.
Lack of Urgency
- We don't change because we don't have to do that. However, you need to push yourself to the edge, either you do or you die when you are trying hard. I remember the story in the book Think and Grow Rich: There was a commander who managed his army to attack an enemy. They had to move by ship to cross over an ocean. When they arrived on the land, the commander ordered to burn those ships and yelled: "You see these ships are burning. We have only one option: Either we'll win and come back home or we'll fight and bury ourselves here." They win!
Solutions:
- I remember one quote from Steve Jobs, "Your time is limited. Don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people's thinking." Do you love what you are doing? How old are you? How many times would you have chance to realize your dreams? ... For me, it is less than three years, because I set my goal to make our coffee big before I am thirty. You need to burn your ships, your safety exists, to move forward with a mind-set "win-or-die"
