Change Your Message (Make it More Authentic)
Talking to friends today. Somebody shares with me a great thing about being authentic and trying to do something deeper than just an ordinary product.
I like the way she engage me in the conversation. It has been a long time I haven't encountered a lady who can deliver her message so pure and clear. She gives an example of creating a love scene. A great love scene must have a story behind the love-making scene. It is just not about putting some dress, getting naked, and get things... done! Why do they love each other? How do they love each other? Both questions create the depth of the love scene.
Make it related to what we do? Creating a product and selling it are two common things people do in business. However, who really have an authentic product and a great story to tell is totally different. We are living in a world where people worship the convenient more than the authentic. Therefore, I wonder "Because the consumer is too lazy to care about that? Or because we, producer, don't spend much time to educate, help, and tell them a great authentic (not fake) story.
Thinking and thinking ....
It seems to me. "Why" is always the great question to ask.
...Why are you doing this as your job?
...Why do you care about something?
...Why do you live your life like this?
...
If you cannot give yourself a clear and purely straightforward answer. You need to change or something need to change!
