Why Write?
A friend reads my blog and asks me, "Why do you write?", I answer, "Writing to escape from the ugly reality and create something more beautiful." Later, I thought about that answer and I didn't think I have answered it in full of my (lovely) philosophy about writing. So, here they are:
Writing is expression
Writing is a way to express myself. I has many thoughts and ideas during the day and writing somehow helps me release those ideas in a more physical way. We live and we catch ideas and events everyday, so writing is like an art that can capture the picture of our lives. Each person "draws" his or her life differently by picking different "colors" (words). Writing is not an art only, but also a hidden power. The art of expression can be transformed into a power of waking up people intellectually. The power is making people to see the truth and question themselves. Writing is also for reflecting how I am doing, what I do right, what I do wrong. It is a good medicine for whoever are feeling lost, hungry in life, and looking for a higher purpose of living.
Writing is visualizing
Writing help you to put thoughts on paper. It is the first stage of realization. Whatever you feel, think, and plan, writing is a microscope which help you see clearer and more detailed. It is a perfect place to expand your imagination and sketch your dream. I believe writing is a way to create or restructure your life. Whatever goals you want to achieve, you can put it on a piece of paper, nail it on your mind, and you can plan for it.
Try it! Dream about it! Write about it and keep writing!
You will feel your dreams you have are in your hands. It is just there...in you mind...get it out!
You will push yourself and do it!
Writing is sharing
Writing is like storytelling. First, it is one person tell a story to her or himself on paper; then, if that paper can be passed to other people, it can be decoded and stay in their minds. A piece of writing can be spread and if it is resonated within the soul of people, it can change their behaviors, even change their lives. What an act of sharing intellectually and soulfully!
Writing is a MAGNIFICENT journey!
