Passion
BING BONG!
Happiness is delivered…Please sign here…This is your present :D
“Passion and determination are contagious. We believe in having a positive and optimistic (but realistic) attitude about everything we do, because we realize that his inspires others to have the same attitude.
There is excitement in knowing that everyone you work with has a tremendous impact on a larger dream and vision, and you can see that impact day in and day out.” (pg 181, Delivering Happiness book)
I ask myself, “What is my passion?” Actually, I have no idea about it. I have the passion about business, but I don’t know what is specific that I want to work on in many different industries. Currently, I recognized that I have a lot of self doubts. I doubt about the degree I have and doubt about the value of college. Is it worth it for four years that you just learn so much knowledge and then when you graduate with a piece of paper, most of knowledge you remember or learn may be just the last course before you graduate? Or is it worth more to put yourself out there and try something out to figure out what you are truly passionate about?
I admire people who drop out of college and dare to try a different path to find out what they want to do with their lives. Steve Jobs said,
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
Somehow, in each of us, we have let our inner voice silent. Sadly, some of us have forgotten our dreams to do something is safer (personally, I think getting a degree is a safe choice in life).
Don’t make me wrong. I love education and I love books, but it is a real difference between textbook and real life, between a business professor and a crashed-and-burned business man. Where is real education? Where is the passion?
If somebody read this article, I would like to know what their passions are? How do they find it? What they have done with their passions?
It is approaching to graduation time and I will get out of school and figure out what I am truly passionate about.
Keep faith and push forward!
