Christan Alvarez - He Was Disappointed in Me

I have an army friend. Who isn’t proud to have an army friend? Yes, somebody not. But I am. He is my BMFF. 

The topic we love teasing each other is our body shape. I always make fun of his belly. We both have round belly and of course, we only have ONE ABS. HAHA! Like every other guys, I wish to have six bags, but it is still one of my challenges.

The best part is he is worse than me. I have a round stomach and his is much rounder than me. Another teasing topic we have is our hair. My hair is so curly and strong. His hair. haha...let me find the right word for it...Bushy...LOL. It is like a bush that all birds would love to have a nest inside.


Why do I like you, Christian? Honesty. He is the first friend in America saying he was disappointed in me. Why is he disappointed in me? Keeping the story short, I didn’t carry through what I said. Those words reflect a true friend. We are all grown-ups. However, when you are getting older and older, it is harder to find a person telling the truth about you. Friends are people who just want the best for you, so they are not afraid to say something that makes you upset.

A good friend. A guy with credibility. A guy with care. We love each other like brothers. I still remember the time to have dinner with his family. We talked a lot about Vietnam, Mexico, the similarity between Hispanic values and Vietnamese values. I trust him and care about him too. We are also guys with conversations. Through conversations, we both help each other to clarify our thinking. We love to challenge each other intellectually. Always a good time and provoking thinking, everytime we met.

The best thing we’ve ever done together is kayaking, baby! Lol, I was almost hitting other boats twice. Oh no! The best time was when we went back to Vietnam together with Brian. We were freaking enjoying!

I still remember the time we went to Nha Trang, Dalat, and Hanoi. It was the best time in my life to have fun with him and Brian.

I will definitely bring this relationship to another level. We will do business together and I want to be successful with you, Christian
