Internet is Ready to Be Cooked. Are You Ready?

The connection is a value that Internet is providing for us. I want to share a good read that Seth Godin comments on the Internet.

"Make money: not by building an Internet company, but by using the 'Net as a tool to create value and get paid. Use the Internet as a tool, not as an end. Do it when you are part of a big organization or do it as a soloist. The dramatic leverage of the 'Net more than overcomes the downs of the current economy.

The essence is this: Connect.Connect the disconnected to each other, and you create value.

  • Connect advertisers to people who want to be advertised to.
  • Connect job hunters with jobs.
  • Connect information seekers with information
  • Connect teams to each other
  • Connect those seeking similar
  • Connect to partners and those that can leverage your work
  • Connect people who are proximate geographically
  • Connect organizations spending money with ways to save money
  • Connect like-minded people into a movement
  • Connect people buying with people who are selling."
Connection is Now a Commodity

We live in the connection era. We are sharing photos, video clips, and opinions. We post something funny to entertain our friends. We are actually creating connection - a commodity of Internet. However, only a small percentage of people is truly taking advantage of the Internet. We need to change the way we are using the Internet. No may be not using, but actually penetrating the Internet. We need to stop using it like a commodity, but making something out of it, my friends.

Go, do a Vlog
Go, start a Blog
Go, expose your talents
Go, share your opinions

YOU - the CONTENT Chef
If I can use my imagination to give all of you, my readers, an easy understanding for the opportunity that we are lacking of, it would be like this:

"The Internet are ingredients, but it needs a chef to cook and blends all flavors of ingredients into tasty food. Who are the chef? It is YOU - the CONTENT chef."

I believe whatever you cook, there is someone wants to taste it because the world of Internet are unlimited of many interest, many niche markets and many audience. The best part is your food can be shared. Many people are hungry now for your CONTENT "food" and they are willing to share when you "cook" for them.

My Blogging Experiences
Personally, I am now still a terrible chef of blogging, but I am really enjoy at writing and blogging now becomes one of my routine and a part of my life. I just can't wait to share with all of you about what I have learned today through my reading and what I have experienced in my life.

I feel blogging is like a journey and it makes me understand about myself and helps me find the happiness that I haven't found yet.

So, start "cooking" something today on Internet, my friends. Here are some lists that I will do this week for my Internet adventure, I hope it can help you somehow:

  1. I will complete my profile on LinkedIn.
  2. I will open a Vlog on YouTube and begin Vlog (once or twice a week).
  3. I will (maybe) create an Website for myself.
  4. I am doing blog everyday.
  5. ...Hum...You can give me some ideas.
Let's go COOKING :D

(This is a TedTalk of Seth Godin teaching people How to Get Your Ideas to Spread, I hope it will help anybody wants to start COOKING.)
